Lewistown man wanted for fraud/theft
A Lewistown man is wanted by Mifflin County Regional Police on a series of fraud/theft related incidents as well as failure to report for sentencing on prior fraud and theft-related cases.
Shawn Dippery, 47, has brown eyes and brown, graying hair. He is 5á9ã and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
According to court documents, Dippery was accused of asking for money in exchange for labor and services between the months of March and July of 2018. Dippery would reportedly fail to complete the service and cut contact from every person. Out of the 67 people he took money from, 26 of them were over the age of 60. Most of his customers were people he had worked with before.
Mifflin County Regional Police said Dipperyás fraud spanned across several Central Pennsylvania counties. He was scheduled and failed to appear for sentencing at Mifflin County Courthouse on Nov. 15.
Police said while Dippery was on supervised bail, he âcut offã his electronic monitoring bracelett and committed a series of frauds that targeted the amish community and left the area.
Police said anyone assisting Dippery in any manner will be prosecuted.
