Flags for Heroes set for Friday

LEWISTOWN — The Flags for Heroes event is scheduled to begin at noon Friday at Kish Park.

The event will include the reading aloud of the names of all the heroes being honored with a flag. The flags will then remain on display in the park for one week after the event.

Rev. William Weary will provide the invocation and “The Star-Spangled Banner” and other music will be performed by the Mifflin County High School band and chorus.

State Rep. John Hershey will provide remarks. Mifflin County Commissioner Kevin Kodish will close the event.

The public is invited to attend.
