MC seats nominated in primary

LEWISTOWN — The unofficial results in the primary election for Mifflin County auditor are as follows:

On the Democratic ballot, Nancy Laub received 1,128 votes and David Dedmon garnered 499 votes.

On the Republican ballot, incumbent Helen Kirk received 3,397 votes.

All three candidates will be on the ballot in the November election. In the election for auditor, citizens vote for two candidates and the top three vote-getters win the election.

Incumbent Christopher Torquato received 3,805 votes for district attorney, and Alan Sunderland received 3,754 votes for coroner in uncontested Republican primaries. Tammy Stuck garnered 3,156 votes in the Republican primary for prothonotary, defeating Stephanie Lash, who received 809 votes.

No candidates ran in the Democratic primary for district attorney, coroner or prothonotary, however, 85 write-in votes were cast for district attorney, 205 for prothonotary and 130 for coroner.

The general election is Nov. 5.
