Man charged with disseminating video of teens to other minors

LEWISTOWN — An 18-year-old man had a preliminary arraignment Monday after being charged May 10 for sending a video to at least six teenagers showing two minors engaging in sexual activity.

Court documents state a minor sent a video to Phillip M. Kelley, 18, of Lewistown, that showed two other minors having sex. Kelley later sent the video to at least six juveniles, knowing the content was sexually explicit, that the individuals in the video were both minors and that having and sharing the video could get him into trouble. Documents indicate when Kelley was initially interviewed by police, he said he received the video, but deleted it. However, he later admitted to police he had lied during the interview.

Kelley was charged with one felony count disseminating photos/film of child sex acts, two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and two summary counts of harassment. Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed set bail at $15,000 unsecured and Kelley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 29.
