5 nominated for several Juniata County offices
MIFFLINTOWN — The following candidates won nominations in uncontested races for November’s general election for Juniata County offices, according to unofficial election results:
¯Juniata County auditor: On the Democratic ballot, Laura A. Cunningham received 928 votes. On the Republican ballot, Miriam Anstine received 2,431 votes and Nancy H. Phelan received 1,998 votes. All three are incumbents whose names will be on the ballot in the November election. In the election for auditor, citizens vote for two candidates and the top three vote-getters win the election.
¯Republican nominee for district attorney, Cory J. Snook, with 2,969 votes. There were no Democratic candidates listed.
¯Republican nominee for prothonotary, Lori A. Ferry, with 3,027 votes. There were no Democratic candidates listed.
¯Republican nominee for coroner, Lee Snyder, with 3,052 votes. There were no Democratic candidates listed.
The general election is Nov. 5.
