Alleged members of drug ring arraigned

Four other arraignments scheduled

HUNTINGDON–Three local people charged in connection to a 28-person Huntingdon County drug ring were formally arraigned, Thursday, according to court documents.

Documents state that Rodney Chilcote, 56, of Kistler, William Spriggs, 34, and Shawn Williams, 46, both of Mount Union, each appeared before President Judge George Zanic for their formal arraignments. In December, the three were each charged with a variety of drug-related offenses, including delivery of heroin and cocaine, possession and criminal use of a communication facility, according to a news release from the

Huntingdon County District Attorney’s Office.

Documents state that Williams is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on March 28, Chilcote is scheduled for a motion of reconsideration on April 11 and Spriggs is scheduled for jury selection on May 6.

According to the Huntingdon County Court of Common Pleas schedule, four other Mount Union residents charged in connection to the same drug ring are scheduled to appear in court in the coming weeks. James Walker, 36, Davonne Bradley and Anna Posey, both 30, are each scheduled for formal arraignment on Feb. 28 and Tiffany Williamson, 25, is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on March 7.

Nakean Chambers, 38, of Mount Union, was also charged in December in connection with the same drug ring, with counts of criminal use of a communication facility, manufacture/possession/delivery with intent and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, however the status of the case is deemed inactive, according to court documents.
