PennDOT provides monthly project update
POTTERS MILLS — With a new year underway,the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation issued a mid-January update Friday, for its U.S. 322/Potters Mills Gap project in southeast Centre County. Traffic stops are expected to continue. Up-to-date information can be found on the PMG Project page at www.penndot.gov/pottersmillsgap. Through Jan. 18, drivers may encounter the following:
¯ Drivers eastbound and westbound may encounter short traffic stops for work activity on the project. Any stops that take place will be done during daylight hours.
¯ A mile east of Potters Mills, the crossover from Decker Valley Road to Sand Mountain Road remains in place, with one lane available in each direction. This crossover, along with a 13-foot width restriction, will continue through winter.
¯ Work will also continue off the roadway and drivers should be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting U.S. 322 through the Potters Mills area.
PennDOT encourages drivers to “Know before they go” and to check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA is free, available 24 hours a day, and provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 860 traffic cameras.
