Extension hosts annual 4-H Banquet
4-H members and leaders recognized for service
MEXICO–4-H members, leaders and families recently attended the 2018 Annual 4-H Recognition Banquet held at Walker Grange in Mexico.
The Juniata County Dairy Promotion provided milk punch for the evening’s punch bowl social, followed by a buffet dinner for the 115 in attendance.
Teen Leader Clara McCahren led the event with pledges to the American flag and 4-H flag. The invocation was given by 4-H Leader Dan Auker.
The banquet program included a presentation by Carter Wynn entitled “4-H and Beyond,” as he shared the many opportunities he has had as part of 4-H.
4-H members and leaders attending the banquet received certificates and pins for their years of participation. Special awards recognized the Juniata County Farm Bureau as Friend of 4-H and the Juniata County 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Club was awarded the Community Service Award. Additionally, First Year 4-H Honor Awards were presented to Elizabeth Bryner, Amy Carvell, Hayden Erhard, Lily Junod, Coy Kerstetter and Lilli Krepps. 4-H Spirit Awards were also given to Dea J. Woodward and Marissa Woodward.
