A Lewistown man is facing charges for criminal attempted homicide following an incident that occurred at approximately 10:51 a.m. on Tuesday morning on Klondyke Drive in Granville Township, Mifflin County. According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown, investigation revealed that Scott Powell, 30, of Lewistown, and Bruce Fetters, 29, of Lewistown, reportedly engaged in a physical altercation on the street. During the dispute, Fetters allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and discharged a shot into Powell’s abdomen. Powell was transported from the scene by emergency services and was later flown from Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment of injuries. Fetters was subsequently taken into custody and charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. PSP Lewistown were assisted on the scene by Granville Township Police Department, Mifflin County Regional Police, Lewistown Borough Police Department, the Mifflin County Sheriff’s Office, EMS and fire police.
