Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

¯Unauthorized use of motor vehicle — 8:30 a.m. — June 3 –An 83 year-old male of Shippensburg asked Hillary Renee Vogt to park his vehicle in the parking lot of Juniata High School. Insteadm Vogt removed the vehicle from the parking lot and drive it to the Shippensburg Area. The suspect will be charged through district court.

¯Criminal mischief — 10:30 p.m.-8 p.m. — June 8-June 9 –An unknown suspect damaged the flag pole belonging to someone at South Main Street, in Milroy Borough. After damaging the pole, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

¯Access device fraud — June 8-June 9 –An unknown suspect gained access to debit cards belonging to Fred Shellenberger, 66, of Mifflin, and Danielle Shellenberger, 56, of Mifflin, and made several ATM withdrawls. This investigation is ongoing.

Pennsylvania State Police Selingsgrove

¯Crash –1:42 p.m. — June 19 — A crash occurred on Route 35 in West Perry Township between Anna Beachel, 56, of Thompsontown, and Lisa Derr, 47, of Richfield. Derr was standing in the westbound travel lane waiting to turn left, when Beachel struck the rear end of her vehicle. Beachel and Derr both had a suspected minor injury, and Beachel was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

¯ Crash — 5:52 p.m. — June 24 –A crash occurred on Route 235 in Snyder County when Bobby Boyer, 36, of Beavertown, noticed flames coming out of the rear of is car.

Boyer pulled over, and he, along with three passengers safely escaped the vehicle before it was consumed by fire.

¯DUI — 12:30 a.m. – June 17 — Cody Ryan, 25, of Beavertown, was driving along State Route 522, Franklin Township, when he was pulled over for having an expired registration.

The officer then determined Ryan was under the influence of alcohol while driving, and was arrested and charged with DUI through district court.

Pennsylvania State Police Newport

¯ Crash — 7:18 a.m. — June 14 — A crash occurred on the Juniata Parkway between Veronica Meck, 34 of Mifflintown and Rose Smith, 73 of Newport.

Meck was attempting to conduct a U-turn when she was struck by Smith.

Meck was cited with limitations on turning around, through the Magisterial District Court.
