4-H members qualify for state junior dairy show

Juniata County 4-H Dairy Club members recently qualified for the State Junior Dairy Show at the West Central District Dairy Show held in Reedsville.

Exhibitors receiving Master Showmanship awards are Zoe Burns, Brayden Ehrenzeller, Brooklyn Ehrenzeller, Elizabeth Graybill, Emily Graybill, Isaac Mills and Tabitha Mills.

Placings and awards include the following:

Zoe Burns–Red and White: Spring (Junior) Yearling, 2nd blue, Holstein: Fall (Senior) Calf, 2nd blue and Junior two years old, 3rd red.

Brayden Ehrenzeller– Holstein: Winter (Intermediate) Calf, 5th blue and Spring (Junior) Yearling, 3rd red.

Brooklyn Ehrenzeller–Holstein: Spring (Junior) Calf, 3rd blue, Winter (Intermediate) Calf, 11th red.

Elizabeth Graybill–Holstein: Winter (Intermediate) Calf, 14th white, Summer Yearling, 6th red, and Dry Senior 2-year-old and over, 1st blue.

Emily Graybill–Red and White: Winter (Intermediate) Calf, 1st blue, Fall (Senior) Yearling, 1st blue and Holstein: Spring (Junior) Calf, 7th red.

Isaac Mills–Red and White: Summer Yearling, 1st blue and Junior Champion, Holstein: Winter (Intermediate) Yearling, 2nd blue.

Tabitha Mills–Holstein: Spring (Junior) Calf, 4th red, Brown Swiss: Fall (Senior) Calf, 1st blue, Junior Champion, and best animal bred and owned.

The 4-H members will attend the Pennsylvania State Junior Dairy Show, which is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
