Mustangs power past Benton

BENTON — Offense was at a premium Monday afternoon, but Midd-West found a way to win, 3-0, over Benton in Heartland Conference baseball.

Denzel Sampsel was the only player to have a multiple hit performance, going 2-for-3 for the Mustangs. He also had the game’s lone extra-base hit, a double.

Dylan Loss was credited with the win. He struck out seven hitters in 4 2/3 innings of work.

Midd-West travels to Montoursville Thursday.
