Tigers end season on low note

HERNDON — After a slow start for both teams, Line Mountain pulled away from East Juniata, 43-28, in Tri-Valley League girls basketball Monday night.

Thea Neimond scored a team-high eight points for the Tigers.

East Juniata finished the year 8-14.

MOUNT UNION –Mount Union had no answers for Bellwood in a 75-29 Inter-County Conference girls basketball loss Monday night.

Bellwood took control of the game early, leading 30-0 after one quarter of play.

Keirra Worthy and Karrigan Woodward each scored nine points for the Trojans. Krya Hand sunk the team’s lone 3-pointer and finished with seven.

Mount Union finished the year 12-10.
