Brayden Harris of the Juniata Valley Striders had a record run in the Hershey USA Track and Field Youth Indoor Championship, run March 10-12 in New York. In the 13-14-year-old boys 1,500-meter run his time of 4:18.26 was a meet record, cutting a second off the previous mark recorded in 2012. He also finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:29.23. He was up against runners from around the country, many of whom are able to practice in more favorable climates. Harris, who is coached by Jeff Miller, will be a freshman at Mifflin County High School in the fall.
