Tomahawks fall by 10
The Mifflin County Tomahawks traveled to coal country Saturday as they took on the defending Keystone Bowl champion Susquehanna Valley Seminoles. The Tomahawks dropped a 34-24 decision. After an 18-point led at the half the Tomahawk defense could not keep the Seminole passing attack at bay. After the Seminoles took the lead with 10:12 left in the fourth, the Tomahawks responded with a touchdown on the following drive to go up four. It was all Seninoles going down the stretch as they scored two late touchdowns to cement the win.
The Tomahawk offense was led by Jace Maurer going 9-for-15 for 75 yards and four TD’s. Kevin Grenable led the receivers with four catches for 53 yards and two TD’s. Brian Reinhart added two more receiving TD’s. The defense was led by Joe Mohr with a season-high 10 tackles while Brian Reinhart added eight. Mason Switzer contributed eight tackles, a sack, and an interception.
The Tomahawks are back at home Saturday at Rec Park to face the Anthracite Diamondbacks. Kickoff at 1:00pm.
