Predators tie Hawks in seventh; rain delays contest

LEWISTOWN – The Lewistown Predators took it all the way down to the wire Thursday evening in their playoff series against the Howard Hawks, but managed to hold on for another day.

Down 2-0 in the series and trailing in Game 3 by six runs, Lewistown powered through the bottom of the seventh for six runs, highlighted by a two-run homer with two outs to take the game into extra innings, 12-12.

The extra innings and a storm delay made it so the game could not be completed Thursday. Today, the Predators and Hawks will resume their game in the top of the ninth with a 5:45 p.m. start time at Mifflin County High School.
