CLARENCE – After being shut out in its first two contests of the young Centre County men’s league season, Milroy scored five Thursday – but it wasn’t enough and Clarence won the contest 8-5.

“We finally scored some runs,” Milroy skipper Danny Knepp said. “We looked pretty decent.”

Starting pitcher Hunter Walker struck out three but walked six Clarence hitters in the appearance.

Kalen Gearhart hit a longball for the Coyotes and also saw time on the mound. Zane Specht went 1-for-1 with three walks.

Milroy (0-3) travels to Philipsburg-Osceola today.
