Definetely, but the conservatives are still bitter over losing the election to an African American that they are already criticizing him and he hasn't even begun his presidency. With all the problems he is inheriting from the Bush regeme, it will take several years to clean up that mess. The illigitiment Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, the torturing, the economy and the relationships with other countries that Bush managed to alienate. Thank God he is inteligent enough to fill his cabinet with experienced inteligent people to help him clean up the mess.

Seems as if Barack is off to a good start with his pragmatic choices, filling keys seats with people with various idealogy and agendas.

The liberals in my home state (PA) helped vote this man into office. He had 143 days experience as a Senator before he decided to run for office - A person isn't eligible to manage a McDonald's after only being there 143 days - yet this man is qualified to run our country?

I'm not especially worried about Obama, but think there is considerable probablility he will be sunk by members of his own party in the U.S. Congress, specifically the Speaker of the House, who comes across as an insane person, and the Senate Majority Leader, who although apparently sane is NOT an effective leader. These people couldn't manage a 2 car wedding in a one-way alley. With friends like these who need enemies? These leaders were chosen from amongst the ranks of Congressmen & Senators, whose quality appears to be at an all-time low, and were voted into office by whom? That's right... We the People. Have a nice day.

I really do!!! I think he is the best thing to happen to our country since Dr. King... We all need to pray that the nation will see that this is a positive!!!

I truly hope so, but I am doubtful. There are too many fundamental differences between Democrats and Republicans, too many special interest groups, too many lobbyists, and too many politicians with their own agendas.

No shock that the right wingers of central Pennsylvania would vote this way. Ya bunch of racists. Mifflin and Juniata counties had some of the heaviest support for McCain in the entire state. Guess what, guys! The world has moved beyond you! Time to catch up! Even INDIANA voted for Obama!

They will unify about as easily as a group of preschoolers at day care. Just like the children they will need constant supervision and proding, along with a few treats. We must be the adults here and force them to work together for the good of all. To teach them how to share their toys and to be respectful of others. Show them the benifits of legislation born from cooperation, intergration and sophistication. Stop them from playing this wicked game of musical chairs that punishes the slow and weak. Pull out a seat at the table for everyone in the room. So lets join hands and sing, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family..."
