Detour lifted at East Charles Street today
LEWISTOWN - The U.S. 22/322 westbound on-ramp at East Charles Street is now open to traffic.
The ramp closure had been in place since July 8.
During the month-long closure, crews made bridge repairs and worked on the permanent message board on westbound U.S. 22/322.
The completion of work on the bridge removes one bridge from Mifflin County's list of structurally deficient bridges.
Single lane closures will remain on the main line through late August. After that, work will continue under daylight lane restrictions and signage through fall. Overall work will include concrete and deck repairs, painting, drainage improvements, guide rail updates, roadway milling and paving and miscellaneous work.
