Crash - 5:55 p.m. - July 27 - Police said Cody M. Seler, 24, of Beavertown, was driving a 2011 Suzuki GSXR south on state Route 235, Fayette Township, Juniata County. While driving south, and negotiating a left turn in the road, he drove off the west side of the roadway and hit an embankment. According to the report, after hitting the embankment, the vehicle traveled on the embankment for approximately 100 feet. Police said, while traveling on the embankment, Seler fell off the vehicle, and the vehicle continued traveling and hit a tree. According to the report, Seler was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries in the crash. Police said Seler was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to the report, the vehicle suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Police said Seler will be cited in the crash.
Hit and run - 1:35 p.m. - July 28 - Police said John C. Hockenberry, 39, of Port Royal, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet 2500HD west on U.S Highway 22/322 in Delaware Township, Juniata County. For unknown reasons, Hockenberry veered off the north side of the road and hit a guide rail along the berm. According to the report, Hockenberry impacted the guide rail with the front passenger side portion of the vehicle. Police said the vehicle remained in contact with the guide rail until secondary impact was made with the bridge rail. According to the report, the vehicle remained in contact with the guide rail and bridge rail for approximately 201 feet. Police said after breaking contact with the bridge rail, Hockenberry steered the vehicle back onto the westbound lane of travel of U.S. Highway 22/322 and fled the scene. According to the report, upon arrival at the scene, the vehicle was not present. Police said Hockenberry was not wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. Police said Hockenberry will be charged in the crash through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter's office.
Public drunkenness - 12:40 a.m. - July 27 - Police said Timothy Paris Wright, 34, of York, was found to be intoxicated and kicked the exterior door at the side of the Grid Iron in Mifflintown Borough, Juniata County. According to the report, Wright was causing a disturbance. Police said Wright was arrested and housed in the Mifflin County Prison for the evening.
Retail theft - 5:03 p.m. - July 27 - Police said Justice Blessing, 18, of Lewistown, stole merchandise that valued $66.83 from Dollar General in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County. According to the report, a non-traffic citation was issued through district court.
