MILROY - David L. Pepper, 70, of Mechanic Street, Milroy, surrounded by friends and family, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 18, 2014, at Ohesson Manor.
He was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Canton, the son of Adela (Fitch) Pepper and the late LaRue Pepper. He is survived by his partner of 33 years, Richard Walters, of Milroy.
Also surviving are: two sisters and a brother, Marjorie Pepper, of Williamsport, Nancy Patil, of Lewisburg, and Dale Pepper and wife, Barb, of Muncy; one niece; three nephews; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews.
He had friends which he considered a part of his family. He left behind three pets, Lucy, Scotter and Snowball, whom he dearly loved.
Formerly, David was a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was an orderly at Muncy Hospital. He had served as a Franciscan Friar in New York. He was an orderly at Lewistown Hospital and president of the local 1199 SEIU. A member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, he had served on the vestry and altar guild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Dr. David Zwifka officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
