McCLURE - Alice M. Marker, 81, of McClure, died at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at her home.
Born on Aug. 3, 1932, in the Juniata Terrace Borough, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Catherine (McCardle) Drass. On Feb. 2, 1948, Alice married her husband, James N. Marker Sr., who survives.
Alice is survived by: children, Cathy Frye and husband, Gary, of McClure, James N. Marker Jr. and wife, Sue, of Clearfield, John P. Marker Sr. and wife, Dixie, of Hawstone, Mary E. King, of Mifflintown, Barry Lee Marker, of McClure, and ReEtta A. Marker, of McClure; brothers, Dennis Drass, of Juniata Terrace, and Don Drass, of Lewistown; sister, Shirley Yerrick, of Lewistown; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, John Paul Marker Jr.
Alice had worked for Lewistown Hospital and the Arrow Shirt Factory.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at the Bohn Funeral Home in Reedsville, with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
