Professor performing concert in Troxelville
TROXELVILLE - Jim Hendricks, professor of music at Chicago State University, will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Troxelville. The concert is hosted by the church and by the Middle Creek Valley Council of Churches. There is no admission fee, but a free-will offering will be taken. VDov family set to perform at Church Hill
REEDSVILLE - The VDov family is scheduled to perform a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville. The concert will be held outdoors, and desserts and drinks will be provided. A free-will offering will be received.
Local hymn sings to benefit health clinic
BELLEVILLE - Big Valley Community Hymn Sings is scheduled to be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month. The schedule is as follows:

Aug. 10 - Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, Belleville.

Missionaries to visit Port Royal churches
PORT ROYAL - Port Royal Evangelical Lutheran Parish will host its missionaries, The Rev. Brian Palmer and wife, Christine, during worship services set for June 15. The first service will be held at 9 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Nook, and a second service is set for 10:30 a.m. at Port Royal Lutheran Church. Re-Creation singing at Methodist church
MILLERSTOWN - Re-Creation is scheduled to sing during a worship service set for 9:45 a.m. June 22 at Millerstown United Methodist Church.
The group represents Re-Creation USA Inc., which provides entertainment programming for veterans affairs medical centers in the United States. The group typically consists of eight singers and one or two technicians. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received.
