Take time away from electronics to enjoy other activities

LEWISTOWN - It used to be that summer days were spent outside playing in the yard, swimming, bicycling, swinging and climbing on playground equipment. Today, the average child is plugged into electronic devices for an estimated seven and a half hours each day. Between computers, cell phones, televisions and hand-held gaming devices, electronics consume children's lives - especially in the summer when school is not in session and schedules are more relaxed.
