LEWISTOWN - A new massage therapy location has opened at 713 W. Fourth St. in Lewistown.
The Pain Relief Center, owned and operated by licensed massage therapist Janelle Stewart, has a varied menu of therapy options, including myofascial release, Swedish, therapeutic and deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage, lypossage and kinesio taping.
These methods are hands-on approaches to relieving pain, as the business name aptly suggests.

Janelle Stewart has opened a new business, The Pain Relief Center, at 713 W. Fourth St. in Lewistown.
"I don't fix anybody. I facilitate the body's natural ability to heal itself," Stewart said.
Myofascial release is a whole-body approach that uses gentle, sustained pressure to relieve a myriad of problems. Stewart uses cream or oil in her massages and moves fluid through the body during lypossage treatments, which she said takes inches off the body but is not a weight loss program. Kineseo taping is a type of treatment using elastic tape to assist muscle function even after the client has left the appointment.
Stewart has been a licensed massage therapist for 19 years. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant and certified kineseo taping practitioner, in addition to being certified in lymphatic drainage and lypossage.
"I had pain years and years ago. That's how I got into pain therapy," she said. "I'm paying it forward, so to speak."
Previously, she primarily offered mobile therapy. With the opening of the new location, mobile therapy service is offered on a case by case basis. Otherwise, appointments can be made by calling 994-1276.
Stewart accepts credit cards, personal injury cases and workman's compensation cases. Consultations are free.
The Pain Relief Center is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Stewart can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Pain Relief Center can be found on Facebook.
