LEWISBURG - Ernestine E. Goss, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Riverwoods Nursing Home in Lewisburg.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1927, in Kreamer, a daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Shaffer) Mull. On Aug. 19, 1950, she married Calvin L. William, who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1954. She later married Russell J. Goss, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2011.
Ernestine attended school in Kreamer and Middleburg.
She was previously employed at Nite Craft and later worked for Middleburg Yarn.
Ernestine previously attended Witmer's United Methodist Church in Port Trevorton.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, playing cards, watching old TV shows, painting, puzzle books, taking care of her plants and listening to her favorite radio station WFBM. The loves of her life was her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russell D. Goss, of Beavertown, and Terry A and Carol (Kessler) Goss, of Middleburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda D. (Williams) and Alvin Knepp, of Beaver Springs, and Annette (Goss) and Gordon Fultz Jr., of McClure; eight grandchildren, Donald, Melissa, Danielle, Cody, Brandi, Cheyenne, Gordon and Martin; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Zachary; one sister, Agnes Musser, of Virginia; and one nephew, Carl Wilson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Strouse and one sister, Arlene (Mull) Richardson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, with Rev. James Plank officiating. After the service, burial will be in St. Peter's Independent Bible Church Cemetery in Beavertown.
Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
