Gary L. Wray

LEWISTOWN - Gary L. Wray, 73, of McClure, died at 12:12 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Golden LivingCenter -William Penn.

Born Oct. 1, 1940, in Alfarata, he was the son of the late Rueben James Wray and Betty Amelia (Will) Wray.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. (Cavanaugh) Wray, on Feb. 24, 2007.

Gary is survived by: his children, Kim Fike and husband, Rob, of State College, Pam Hawn and husband, Dwight, of Huntingdon, and Sherri Nale and husband, Lee, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Seth Davis and wife, Mandee, Ryan Davis and wife, Shelley, Nathanael Davis, Amelia Olmstead and husband, Phil and Jesse Kelley; stepgranddaughter, Jessica Mosemann and husband, Daniel; great-grandchil- dren, Elijah Davis, Norah Davis and Catriona Davis; stepgreat-grandson, Zachary Dreese; his brother, Dave Wray and wife, Connie, of Holden, Mo.; and his sister, Tami Binting of Oregon, Ohio.

He was a 1958 graduate of Lewistown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was employed in Machine Shop I at Standard Steel in Burnham, retiring in 2003.

He was a member of St. Mark's Alfarata Lutheran Church, a member of the Habitat for Humanity and the Alfarata Lions Club.

Gary enjoyed fishing, camping and wordworking. He loved playing his guitar and loved scuba diving. He loved spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. David Pennebaker officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park where graveside military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post No. 7011, Lewistown.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
