Mount Union Police Department
Suspicious activity- 8:45 p.m. - Jan. 25 - Police said a traffic stop was conducted in the area of North Division Street and West Water Street, and it was determined that the driver, Danielle A. Groff, 38, of Mount Union, was required to have an ignition interlock device in the vehicle, which was not present. According to the report, as a result of the investigation, charges of illegally operating a vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock, driving under suspension, and duties at stop signs have been file against Groff.
DUI - 4:17 p.m. - Jan. 27 -Police said a 2001 Jeep driven by Kory Knable, backed into a parked car in the parking lot of a Sheetz on North Jefferson Drive. According to the report, Knable was found unresponsive and was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance and was was transported to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Police said Knable was found to be in possession of several used syringes. As a result of the investigation, charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving have been filed against Knable. Domestic disturbance - 1:10 a.m. - Jan. 29 - Police responded to a report of a domestic altercation at a residence at 14024 Wranglertown Road. According to the report, the argument was determined to be verbal in nature and the parties were separated for the night.
Disorderly conduct - 11:24 a.m. - Jan. 31 - Police said a fight was reported at the Mount Union Area High School, and it was determined that a 14-year-old male, of McVeytown, had punched a 16-year-old male, of Mount Union, several times. According to a report a citation for disorderly conduct was filed against the 14-year-old.
