LEWISTOWN Samuel E. Roselle Sr., 67, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1946, in Lewistown, the son of the late Daniel C. and Pauline (Long) Roselle. Sam is survived by his wife, Sharon (McCaffrey) Roselle, whom he married on May 6, 1966.
Sam is also survived by: son, Samuel E. Roselle Jr. and wife, Hope, of Reedsville; daughter, Sherri Heller and husband, Thomas, of Lewistown; sister, Donna Werner and husband, Gerald, of Birdsboro; one granddaughter, Maci Tomlinson; four stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sam was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Roselle.
Sam's biggest joy and accomplishment in life was his family, especially his granddaughter, Maci.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as a cook in the Vietnam War.
He worked in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility as a guard and a cook.
Sam's passion was music. He could sing and sounded like Elvis Presley. He was also a member of many local bands, including Witherspoon and Joker's Wild. Sam umpired Mifflin County Babe Ruth baseball and men's leagues.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at the funeral home.
