DANVILLE -Barbara M. Lockett, 77, of Lewistown died Monday, Feb. 24 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on Jan. 13, 1936, in Lilly, she was a daughter of the late John and Regina (Lesniewski) Segada.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clair E. "Son" Lockett Jr., on Sept. 28, 2003; one sister, Betty Rueppel; and one brother, James Segada.
Barb is survived by: children, Catherine Stone and husband, Eric, of Beavertown, and Richard C. Lockett and companion, Debra Leacy, of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Tanner Lockett, Tristin Lockett, both of Lewistown, Nicholas Stone and Morgan Stone, both of Beavertown; siblings, Jack Segada and wife, Bonnie, of New Jersey, Ron Segada and wife, Cindy, of Lilly, Audrey Covault and husband, Raymond, of Ohio; and sister-in-law, Mona Segada, of Danville.
She was a graduate of Lilly High School.
Early in life she worked as an operator for Bell Telephone Co., then Bon-Ton, as a secretary at Baltimore Life, and lastly, as an operator at Lewistown Hospital.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing solitaire.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
