MIFFLINTOWN - A 53-year-old Mifflintown man scheduled to stand trial on Thursday for the alleged molestation of two girls, pleaded no contest to lesser charges.
Vieng Keoboualy is alleged to have had inappropriate contact with two girls, now both 11 years old. One girl reported the abuse happened when she was 3 years old, while the other reported the abuse took place when she was 6 years old, court documents indicate.
In both cases, Keoboualy was charged with multiple counts of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
Juniata County District Attorney Cory Snook said under the plea agreement, Keoboualy pleaded no contest to the amended charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Snook said his priority in all cases is protecting the victims.
Visiting Clinton County Senior Judge Richard Saxton Jr., ordered a presentence investigation and no sentencing date has been set.
