LEWISTOWN - William L. "Bill" Dillon, 62, formerly of 37 Copper Lane, Reedsville, died at 8:58 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Golden LivingCenter William Penn.
Born on July 28, 1951, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Gordon C. and Bonita J. (Wilde) Dillon.
He is survived by: his siblings, John C. Dillon and wife, Sherry, of Lewistown, Raymond L. Dillon and wife, Kim, of Reedsville, Robert G. Dillon and wife, Carolyn, of Milroy, Kathleen McCalips and husband, Merle, of Boalsburg, Daniel D. Dillon and partner, Dr. Charles Starkey, of Williamsport, Eileen L. Fangaman and husband, Rev. Richard, of Northumberland, Mariann L. Byler and companion, Bruce Zook, of Lewistown, and Dennis S. Dillon and wife, Jaynie, of Yeagertown; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
William L. ‘Bill’ Dillon
Bill was a graduate of Chief Logan High School Class of 1969, earned a bachelor of science degree at Penn State University, majoring in health and physical education. He was a member and letterman on PSU gymnastics team.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Bill worked at Standard Steel, Skills, and last worked at South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain, where he was head of recreation for six years.
He attended St. Mark Evangelical Church.
Bill liked hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
All arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
Interment with VFW Post #7011 honors will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
