LEWISTOWN - Randall R. "Bob'' Boreman Jr., 86, of Lewistown, died at 8:14 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his home.
Born on Oct. 3, 1927, in Snyder County, he was a son of the late Randall R. Sr., and Anna May (Snook) Boreman. He was the last of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet R. (Sassaman) Boreman on April 13, 2004; a son, Keith R. Boreman Sr.; and a great-grandchild, Leeland Aitkins.
Bob is survived by: his children, Gloria Callahan and husband, Jesse, George R. Boreman and wife, Sally, June Aitkins and husband, Daniel, all of Lewistown, Lester R. Boreman, Joyce Shawver and husband, Gary, both of Reedsville, and Ellen Boreman, of Lewistown; ten grandchildren, Amanda Wray, Keith Boreman Jr., Danielle Aitkins, Daniel Aitkins Jr., Shawn Aitkins, Tess Boreman, Tabetha Hedrick, Wendy Pollitt, William Solt Jr., and Jessica Swartz; and seven great-grandchildren, William Smith, Zaida Pollitt, Joshua Elliott, Aiden Aitkins, Alonna Price, Raegen Aitkins, and Kendall Aitkins.
He served in the military during the Korean conflict.
Bob was a truck driver at T.C. Daubert for 12 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a Brethren by faith and attended Lewistown Christian Missionary & Alliance Church.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Jan. 20, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., with VFW Post 7011 military honors, on Tues., Jan. 21, at Juniata Memorial Park with the Rev. Donald Peters officiating.
