Ellen D. ‘Polly’ Kline

REEDSVILLE - Ellen D. "Polly" Kline, 84, of Reedsville, went to meet Jesus at 6:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Yeagertown, she was the daughter of the late Paul L. and Aida L. (Deamer) Harbst.

She is survived by: her husband of 66 years, Charles E. Kline, whom she married on Nov. 29, 1947; her children, Lee E. Kline and wife, Brenda, of Milroy, Paul A. Kline and wife, Melissa, of Reedsville, Teena M. McCurdy and husband, Michael, of Lewistown, and Deanna D. Diven and husband, Clair, of Lewistown; her brother, Toby D. Harbst and wife, Charlotte, and their children, Wendy Ferguson and James Harbst, of Catasauqua; nine grandchildren, Michael, Michelle and Mark Kline, Drew Kline, Jennie LaPlant, Daryl Stryker, Scott Oburn, Brad Oburn and Rachel Diven; and five great-grandchildren, Harley, Jerzey, Hunter, Edwynn and Jase.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Allen Kline in 1952, and by a brother, Lee Alan Harbst in 1944.

She was a 1947 graduate of Brown Township High School. She was a member of Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in the Golden Rule Sunday school class and the church bazaar. She was in the sewing club and enjoyed her trips to Lewisburg.

Polly was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved decorating her home for the holidays. She also loved her girls tea parties. Polly will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E. Logan St., Reedsville, with the Rev. Carla Volland officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E. Logan St., Reedsville, PA 17084.

Arrangements are under the care of Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
