MIFFLINTOWN - Mary Lorranie Hazard, 83, of Mifflintown, passed away on Nov. 22, 2013, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Born on Dec. 14, 1929, Lorranie was the daughter of William T. and Mary E. Heayn. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George M. Hazard Sr., whom she married on Sept. 11, 1948; her two children, George M. Hazard Jr. and his wife, Marylou Hazard, of Mifflintown, and Virginia A. Carty and husband, Randy L. Carty, of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren, George M. Hazard III and wife, Colleen, of Honey Grove, Robert Hazard and wife, Tina, Jean Berry and husband, Steve, of Mifflintown, Elizabeth Armstrong and husband, Shane, of Port Royal; 13 great- grandchildren, Hunter, Garrett, and Zeb Berry, George IV, James, William, Arthur, Zane and Emma Hazard and Isabella, Alexander, Jeramiah, and her newest great-grandchild, Sophia Lorraine Armstrong.
Lorraine loved to sing, play piano and read, and her biggest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lorraine's name can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church, of Mifflintown.
