Warren J. Cleck

MIFFLINTOWN - Warren J. Cleck, 83, of Mifflintown, died at 8:01 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on May 19, 1930, in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Edward C. and Minnie M. (Clark) Cleck.

He is survived by: his children, Graig L. Bedlyon Sr., of Lewistown, Karen M. French and her husband, Stephen, of Lewistown, and Warren E. Cleck, of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Charles E. Cleck and his wife, Janet, and Wade J. Cleck, all of Mifflintown; four sisters, Dorothy Regan, of Lancaster, Jean Miller, of Boyertown, Rhoda Allison and her husband, James, of Mifflintown, and Bonnie Suloff and her husband, Dave, of Burnham; six grandchildren, Sherry Marshall, Graig Bedlyon Jr., Bradley Bedlyon, John J. Shepps Anthony Shepps, and Matthew Shepps; and nine great-grandchildren, Ellie, Rowe, Jasper, Sydney and Clara Shepps, Jamie, Dylan and Dakota Marshall Olivia Bedlyon.

One sister, Letitia E. "Tish" Geedey, preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 1995.

Mr. Cleck proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War.

Warren was a past member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5683 and a past member of the American Legion Post 298, both of Mifflintown.

In earlier life, he was employed as a lineman and later worked for E.C. Cleck and Son, Mifflintown, until retiring from T.R. Construction, Mifflintown.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors.

Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
