Milford L. ‘Bud’ Haines

DANVILLE - Milford L. "Bud" Haines, 64, of Lewistown, died at 11:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on May 11, 1949, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Whorten and Isabel (Huff) Haines.

He is survived by: children, Timothy Haines, of Lewistown, Tina Haines, of Martinsburg, Heather Haines, of Claysburg, and Helen Haines, of Duncansville; four grandchildren, Elijah Haines, Willow Musselman, Breanna Butler and Austin Butler; siblings, Carl Haines, of Lancaster, James Haines, of Lewistown, Charles Haines, of Middleburg, Harold Haines, of Lewistown, Mona Haines, of Lancaster, Ronald Haines, of Lewistown; and seven half siblings; six step siblings.

Bud was a graduate of Bellefonte High School and served in the U.S. Army.

He was owner/operator of Bud's Gun Shop.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and North American Hunting Club. He loved to hunt and was also a St. Jude's donor.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 631, Lewistown, PA 17044.
