BELLEVILLE - Evelyn M. Brininger, 89, of Burnham, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born March 4, 1924, in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Bridgens) Edmiston.
She was preceded in death by: her husbands, Melvin B. Auman in 1945 and Dallas C. Brininger on May 9, 1998; a stepson; three brothers; two sisters; and a grandchild.
Evelyn is survived by: her stepchildren, Warren T. Brininger, of Logan, Ohio, and Mary Lou Brininger, of Dumfries, Va.; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and her siblings, Betty Mattern and husband, Clark, of Beavertown, Faye Goss and husband, Archie, of McClure, Dora Rigel and husband, James, of Beaver Springs, and Mary Moore and husband, Charles, of Atlanta, Ga.
She was a member of the Lawver's United Methodist Church. Evelyn enjoyed camping and metal detecting.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at the Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. James Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in McClure Union Cemetery.
