Oscar Lee Knepp

MILROY - Oscar Lee Knepp, 72, of 4840 New Lancaster Valley Road/ P.O. Box 712, Milroy, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1940, in Bear Gap, a son of the late Walter Henry Knepp and Martha Mae (Dobson) Knepp. His wife, Mary C. (Lash) Knepp, who he married on May 21, 1960, survives.

Also surviving are: his children, Donna L., and her husband, Alvin Kauffman, of Milroy, Kenneth E. Knepp, of New Lancaster Valley, Kim L., and her husband, Norman Goodling Sr., of McClure, James W. Knepp, of New Lancaster Valley, and David A. and Tracy Knepp, of Narvon; nine grandchildren, Rodney and his wife, Jen Kauffman, of Milroy, Heather, and her husband, Jeremy Orwig, of York, Jessica and her husband, Jeremy Hockenberry, of Beaver Springs, Norman and his wife, Amanda Goodling, of McClure, Holly, and her companion Dennis Hockenberry, of New Lancaster Valley, Alycia Knepp, of Morgantown, W.Va, Jonathan Knepp, and his companion, Rachel Zimmerman, of Bellefonte, Samantha Knepp, of Narvon, and Jarred Knepp, of Narvon; 11 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Shirley Boonie, and her husband, Clarence, of Middleburg, Joyce Renninger, and her husband Laray, of Pottstown, Patsy Lash, and her husband Charles, of New Lancaster Valley, Margie Wagner, of McClure, and Karen Hartsock, and her husband David, of Shrader.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Huffman.

He worked at Kiney Shoe Factory, in Beaver Springs, before retiring in 1990.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and also enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his family.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with Pastor Nathaniel Kincaid officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will be at New Lancaster Valley Cemetery.
