MEXICO - Two local men are listed in fair condition after a two-vehicle crash occurred Wednesday night along state Route 75 in Walker Township.
David Fortenbauagh, 39, of Mifflintown, and Roger Burd, 46, of Port Royal, were flown to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries on the night of the crash, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown. A medical center representative said Thursday that both men are listed in fair condition.
According to the police report, officers were called to the scene for an accident involving two pick-up trucks at 7:23 p.m. on Wednesday. The report states Fortenbauagh was traveling north in a 2007 Chevrolet Truck when he crossed the center line, striking a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Truck driven by Burd.
Police said Fortenbauagh continued north after the impact and hit a concrete light base before stopping. Burd continued south and struck a utility pole on the west side of the road before stopping, according to the report.
Police said they were assisted at the scene by Friendship Fire Company, Mifflin Fire Company, Mifflintown Fire Company, Port Royal EMS and Penn-DOT.
