LEWISTOWN - William E. Wagner, Sr., 65, of Lewistown, died at 5:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 in the Lewistown Hospital Emergency Room.
Born July 7, 1948 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Dorothy (Kirk) Wagner.
He is survived by: his wife, Gloria (Weaver) Wagner, whom he married on Aug. 22, 1970; his children, William E. Wagner, Jr., David L. Wagner and Robert A. Wagner and wife Jenell, all of Lewistown; and a grandchild, Chance J. Wagner.

He is also survived by: his brother, Ronald I. Wagner and wife Roxy, of Lewistown; his brother-in-law, Walter Weaver of Belleville; his step-mother, Anna M. Wagner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Landan Levi, Savannah June and Haydon Robert Wagner.
William was a graduate of Lewistown/Granville High School, Class of 1967; he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam War.
He was employed in the repair shop at Standard Steel in Burnham from 1970 to 2011.
He was a life member of the City Hook and Ladder Fire Company where he was currently serving as a trustee; member of the Brooklyn Hose Company where he was past president and past trustee; a member of the Junction Fire Company where he was President and Vice President; Burnham Fire Police; he was the current President of the Mifflin County Fire Police and a life member of the Lewistown Fire Company, he was Vice President and was on the resolution committee of Mifflin County Central District Fireman Convention.
He liked to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR Racing and old tractor shows.
He loved his dog Skippy and his cat Smokey.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at the Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, with the Rev. Donald Peters officiating. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens where graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
