SALISBURY, Md.- Helen Wettstein passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at her home at the young age of 97.
Born on Jan. 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Grace Kline and the wife of the late John B. Wettstein.
Helen was a self-taught water-colorist and very involved with her church. She was a member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church and the Art Institute and Gallery. She was an extremely loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, as well as great-grandmother.
She is survived by: her children, Edith Cuttler and her husband, Gary, of Arbutus, Md., Blair Wettstein and his wife, Pam, of Greenville, Texas, and Jennie Swafford and her husband, Terry, of Salisbury, Md.; five grandchildren, Sheila Callahan, Stephanie Haines, Rebecca Lloyd, Adam Cuttler and John Swafford; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Holloway Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Donald Rising will be officiating. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich, Conn.
