BELLEVILLE - Galen M. Kenepp, 83, of 10 Pleasant St., Belleville, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at his home.
Born Dec. 21, 1929, in Mattawana, he was a son of the late James M. and Catherine (Swigart) Kenepp. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy A. (Smith) Kenepp, in 1993. He is survived by his second wife, Joyce A. (Hartzler) Kenepp, whom he married on April 5, 1997.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, David A. Kenepp, of Lewistown, and Beth Liveringhouse and husband, Mark, of Hershey, and sister, Floris (Kenepp) Lewis, widow of George M. Lewis, of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin S. Kenepp, in 2012.
He was a 1947 graduate of McVeytown-Oliver High School. He served as DHIA. supervisor in Lycoming and Mifflin counties for 16 years. He was also a dairy farmer for 24 years and a driver for home delivery meals for a number of years.
He was a member of Locust Grove Mennonite Church and a member of the Lighthouse Sunday school class.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, with Pastors Max Zook, Ivan Yoder and Carl Geissinger officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Run Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at the church.
