MIFFLINTOWN - A Mifflintown man has been charged with simple assault after police said he picked a 29-year-old woman up off the ground and slammed her on the floor during an early-Tuesday morning argument, Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report.
Police said Zebulon W. Page, 31, was charged after he was engaged in an argument with the woman, who is also from Mifflintown, which then turned physical. The alleged incident occurred at 1:23 a.m., police said.
The female, who sustained moderate injuries and was later treated at Lewistown Hospital, was able to leave the residence and contact Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown, according to the report.

Police did not release the name of the woman and it is The Sentinel's standard practice to not publish identities of alleged victims of domestic violence.
Page was arraigned through Magisterial District Judge Barbara Lyter's office before being taken to Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
Page is free on $10,000 bond, according to online MCCF records.
