BELLEVILLE - Elma L. Fleming, 96, of Church Hill, Reedsville, died at 9:39 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Valley View Retirement Community, Belleville.
Born Aug. 30, 1916, in Steamburg, she was a daughter of the late Carl V. and Della A. (Lester) Miller. Her first husband, Charles B. Reed, died on Dec. 3, 1944, on active duty in Europe during World War II. He is buried in the National Cemetery at Margraten, Netherlands. Her second husband, Charles D. "Chop" Flemming, died on July 5, 1996.
She is survived by: her son, Robert C. Reed and wife, Susan, of Georgetown, Texas; sister, Ruth Marsh, of Euclid, Ohio; grandsons, Robert C. Reed Jr. and wife, Shawn, Stephen Reed, and Brian Reed and wife, Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Griffin, Lucien and Isabella Reed.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Miller.
She received an associate degree in business from Penn State.
She retired in 1987 from the Armagh Township Supervisors office. She was also employed at Flemings Mobil, Reedsville, Dairyland, Longs Garage and the Front Porch.
She was a member of Reesville United Methodist Church and Order of the Easter Star No. 283.
A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Reedsville United Methodist Church, 60 E. Logan St., Reedsville, with Pastor Jean Ward officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Reedsville United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
