Madalene ‘Queen’ Wagner Graybill

THOMPSONTOWN - Madalene "Queen" Wagner Graybill, 81, of Locust Run, Thompsontown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Altoona Hospital.

Born March 31, 1932, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Emma (Arnold) Wagner.

She is survived by: her devoted husband, Dale R. Graybill, whom she married May 25, 1973; three children, Randy O'Neal and wife, Yolanda, of Beavertown, Rick O'Neal and wife, Teresa, of Thompsontown, and Cindy Krepps of Port Royal; six siblings, Earl Wagner and wife, Dena, Louella Cisney and husband, David, Kermit "Babe" Wagner and wife, Connie, Mary Ferster, Gene Wagner, and Ken Wagner; seven grandchildren, Liza Lebkicher and husband, Terry Jr., Jeremy Krepps and companion, Valerie St. John, Robin O'Neal, Tatum Walters and husband, Nate, Travis O'Neal and wife, Vicky, Janelle Shawver, and Justin Shawver; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Clyde "Tiny" O'Neal, on May 30, 1971; one brother, Pete Wagner; one sister, Eleanor Wagner; and one son-in-law, Terry Krepps.

She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1950 and worked at the East Salem Shirt Factory, Gordon's Department Store and Dysinger's Meat Market, but mainly worked on the dairy farm with her husband, Dale, retiring in 1987.

Queen was a member of Locust Run United Methodist Church where she generously donated a lot of time organizing and preparing meals for church activities. She was always in her kitchen cooking and baking. She worked on the Walker Township election board for many years and volunteered for Juniata Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed working on her flower beds and being at the Locust Run Camp in Clinton County. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Locust Run United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Yorks officiating. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, at Guss Funeral Home Inc. and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
