LEWISTOWN - Colleen Yvonne Pierce, 63, of Lewistown, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on June 23, 2013, at her home.

Born on Dec. 7, 1949, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Blair L. and Mary (Bachman) Pierce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie B. Pierce Jr.

Colleen is survived by: nephew, Matthew Pierce, of Strodes Mills; niece, Christine Prough and husband, Steve, of Strodes Mills; her mother's sister, Ethel (Bachman) Cipollini and husband, Edward, of Philipsburg; cousin, Joy McCliment, her husband, Jim, and their children, Nathan, Lauren and Sarah; cousin, Diana "Dede" Coleman, her husband, Ernie, and daughter, Morgan, all of Philipsburg; sister-in-law, Cheryl Hasson and husband, John, of Reedsville; and her dear friends and helpers, Jeff and Virginia "Sis" Weaver, of Lewistown.

She was a 1967 graduate of Lewistown-Granville High School.

Colleen was employed as a nurse's aide at Lewistown Hospital for 36 years.

She was a longtime member of Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.

Colleen was a loving aunt, niece and cousin cherishing each family member and was a cherished friend to many. She was known for her strong faith in God, as well as being a wonderful cook, baker and vegetable gardener.

Colleen's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, with the Rev. John Looney officiating.

A viewing will also be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the church.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Colleen's memory to Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.
