LOYSVILLE - Robert L. Nicholl, 62, of Loysville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home.
Bob was born March 9, 1951, in Lewistown, to the late Andrew R. Nicholl and Dorothy J. (Deneen) Nicholl, of Mifflintown.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: his wife, Penny E. (Rudy) Nicholl; two children, Dustin R. Nicholl, of New Cumberland, and Caitlin R. Nicholl, of New Bloomfield; a granddaughter, Hannah E. Maschak; and a brother, Paul G. Nicholl.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Randall W. Nicholl.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.
He was retired from the Defense Depot at the New Cumberland Army Depot, in Susquehanna, and was formerly employed at the Defense Depot, Mechanicsburg. He was a member of Tressler Memorial Free Lutheran Church, Loysville, and the Ickesburg Sportsman's Association.
He was a very thoughtful and giving person. He loved spending time with his family, coin collecting, traveling and was a history buff.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Tressler Memorial Free Lutheran Church, 3581 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Visitation and fellowship will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
