LEWISTOWN - Harry R. Kelly Sr., 79, of Lewistown, died at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Ohesson Manor.
Born on Jan. 14, 1934, in Mill Creek, he was a son of the late Chalmer D. and Grace (Nonemaker) Kelly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Addison "Son" Kelly, and a sister, Eleanor Whitsel.
Harry is survived by: his wife, Barbara (Swineford) Kelly, whom he married on Aug. 29, 1954; children, Harry R. Kelly Jr., of Harrisburg, Susan L. Gregg and husband, Michael, of Lewistown, and Jeffrey A. Kelly, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Heather McCorquodale, of Lewistown, and Matthew Gregg, of Baton Rouge, La.; siblings, Virginia Muckle and Walter "Skip" Kelly and wife, Alice; and sister-in-law, Jeannette Kelly, all of Mill Creek.
He was owner and operator of the Dutch Cellar, and later retired from Lingles Distributing.
Harry was a life member of Brooklyn Hose Co., City Hook & Ladder and Junction Fire Co. and belonged to the Moose.
He enjoyed time with his family and friends, watching his sons and grandson wrestle and liked playing cards.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Heller- Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
