REEDSVILLE - Shirley B. Keeney, 83, of Rear 40 N. Main St., Reedsville, died at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Golden LivingCenter - William Penn, Lewistown.
Born June 28, 1929, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late J. David and Catherine B. (Fultz) Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Lamar Keeney on Sept. 4, 1977.
Surviving are: four children, Kenneth K. Phillips, Glenda Smith, Russell L. Kenney and Heidi Zook, all of Reedsville; siblings, Barbara Reed, of Lewistown, John E. Phillips Sr., of Reedsville, and Gary R. Phillips Sr., of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Haila Keeney, Jerid Leach, Catherine Stains, Devon Stains, Andrew Stains and Macayla Zook; and three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Keeney-Knepp, Tyler Keeney-Knepp and Lexi Smith.
She was preceded in death by: an infant son, Raymond Lamar Keeney; a grandson, Nathan Smith; five sisters, S. Irene Kreydatus, Thelma Damicantonio, Bertha Balmer, Jean Ruble and Mary Gray; and three brothers, Richard W. Phillips, R. Jay Phillips Sr. and Frank E. Phillips.
Shirley retired from Fisher Electronics, in Milroy, in 1989.
She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Havice Valley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastors Vicki L. Elmer and John S. Walters officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the funeral home.
